LEARN BY DOING
All weapons on the Oasis server (except contraband, prestige, voting and starter weapons) give proficiency experience in the correlating weapon stat when used to damage entities.
The ability to use a weapon unlocks with its correlating weapon level.
You can view weapon levels, current experience, experience needed and unlocked weapon tiers in the Weapon Stats attribute.
To view, click the weapon category you'd like to see your experience in (example: blades).
Then, hover over any of the levels to see your current experience level at the top of the window (X/100).
If you hover of the locked icon, you can see which level each tier is unlocked at (example: level 20 unlocks Beginner: (S) Tier blades).
Weapon proficiency experience gains can be tracked in real time by enabling the Weapon Stats Book that was given to you when you spawned in the game. If you've lost your book, simply ask for a new one.
Higher tiered weapons and ammo will give more proficiency experience.
Getting kills with ranged weapons will add a small stacking proficiency experience bonus per kill for that weapon type.
Headshots with ranged weapons will give an additional 50% proficiency experience bonus of the held weapon's base amount (excludes ammo & kill bonus).
Melee kills give a flat (non-stacking) proficiency experience bonus per kill.
