Welcome to the Guide to the Oasis. Our community is filled with wonderfully friendly folks from all ages and walks of life. All the players are helpful, friendly, inviting and quick to help identify toxicity, which is swiftly dealt with to ensure a community that fosters an enjoyable gaming experience. Our owners and developers are informative and make truly custom mods from scratch. All mods are server-side and require no download from the clients. Our admins are patient, understanding and exceedingly friendly. They play alongside the players and are always present to assist with any concern. They host events in discord and in game frequently to incite fellowship and comradery within the community.

AMMO
Special ammo types have the same penetrating power of their AP counterparts, but with the added benefit of increased damage.
Weapons of the highest tier for each weapon type use custom ammo.
For example, the pipe pistol can only use vanilla ammo, but the 9mm pistol can use steel and bronze.

BOOK CRAFTING
Scrap skill magazines that you don't need into Skill Crafting Paper at a 1.5x rate.
Example: Scrapping a full stack of skill magazines (40) will result in 60 Skill Crafting Paper.
Once you have maxed out a vanilla skill, you can use your Skill Crafting Paper to make more magazines for that skill.
Recipes to make magazines unlock once you reach the vanilla max in that magazine skill.
BUILDING A BASE
BASE BUILDING RULES
- Do not build on roads.
- Do not build in POIs or Prefabs.
- Do not build in seemingly abandoned bases or take over expired claims.
- Do not build in a Reset Zone. These can be viewed on the live map as well as on screen by a buff titled: In Reset Zone
- You may use up to 4 Land Claim Blocks (LCB). Each LCB covers 1 41x41 area.
- Max of 625 farm plots (25x25).
- Max of 5 of each workstation: Chemistry Station, Workbench, Cement Mixer, Forge, Dew Collector, etc.,
Warning: No base, person or group may have more than 5 total. Attempting to circumvent this rule in any way or by claiming that you aren't allied with a player(s) will result in removal of any additional workstations regardless of current materials stored.
Example: If you're allied with multiple people (this includes officially or unofficially) and have multiple bases on the map, your group is limited to 5 workstations of each kind total.
CURRENCIES
ROUGH PEARLS
Obtained through voting at a rate of 1 per day.
These can be used to repair Rusty by 20% or they can be used in the workbench to craft the following:

The majority of decorations you can find in the world have been made craftable!

HORDE BASE:
Ever wished the community horde base could be upgraded or fortified? Now it can!
One hour before horde starts, the horde base will be reset to add defenses and can be upgraded for extra XP!
Applies to all Oasis Servers except Oasis Xtreme.
IN-GAME COMMANDS:
IN-GAME COMMANDS
/commands - Lists common commands.
/vote - Receive your daily vote rewards.
/day7 - Shows days until horde night, numbers of zombies and players on the map and server FPS.
/lobby & /resort or /ftw lobby - Teleports you to the Oasis lobby.
/horde or /ftw horde - Teleports you to the Oasis community horde base.
/tpf name - Teleports you to the specified ally.
/bed - Teleports you to your bed.
/rt - Returns you to the last position before you used /ftw.
/north, /east, /south, /west - Teleports you in the specified direction.
/crate - Purchases a random loot crate for 150 Sand Dollars.
/crate5 - Purchases 5 random loot crates for 500 Sand Dollars.
/crate10 - Purchases 10 random loot crates for 1000 Sand Dollars.
/rift - Purchases a rift (mini-horde) for 2000 Sand Dollars.
/dailycrate - Gives you a random loot crate; 24hr cooldown.
/gimme - Gives you a random item; 15m cooldown.
/discord - Provides the Oasis Discord link.
/shop - The in-game shop.
/claim - Claim items purchased in the in-game shop.
/motorcycle, /4x4, /bicycle, /gyro - Pulls your vehicle to you.
/gfx - Disables fog.
DONOR ONLY COMMANDS
/donor - Sets your tag as donor and gives 2 daily crate and some learnin' elixirs.
/cabana - Teleports you to the donor-only lobby.
/debuff - Removes several debuffs (broken limbs, near death trauma, etc.,).

MAGIC:
How it works: Must be level 25 to unlock magic (unlock 1 level every 25 levels after).
Level 1: Unlocks starter spells.
Level 2: Increases max mana by 20.
Level 3: Increases max mana by 20.
Level 4: Increases max mana by 20.
Level 5: Increases max mana by 20 and 1.5x cast speed.
Level 6: Increases max mana by 20.
Level 7: Increases max mana by 25.
Level 8: Increases max mana by 25.
Level 9: Increases max mana by 25.
Level 10: Increases max mana by 25 and 2x cast speed.
Sorcery Station: The place to craft spells and refined essences.
Mana: Your mana can be found to the right of your toolbelt (a purple beaker)
Cooldown: Each spell has a cast cooldown; cooldowns will decrease as you level up your magic.
Regen: Mana regeneration rate; this rate will increase as you level up your magic.
Overcast: Gain a percentage each time a zombie hits you or you cast a spell. Once at 100%, you can use the secondary action of any damage dealing spell to do 5x the damage in a single burst at the cost of all of your mana and a long cast cooldown.
Magic Essences: Many different types!
Magic Essence: Chance to harvest by mining any ore (iron, lead, coal, etc.,).
Fire Essence: Chance to harvest by mining coal or oil shale.
Lightning Essence: Obtain by scrapping or smelting electronic parts.
Ice Essence: Chance to harvest by digging snow.
Bio Essence: Chance to harvest by skinning radiated zombies.
Earth Essence: Chance to harvest by digging dirt.
Dark Essence: Obtain by scrapping or smelting unstable magic (looted).
Life Essence: Chance to harvest by skinning any creature.
Refined Magic Essences: Made in the sorcery station.
Refined Magic Essence: Requires 300 magic essence to make.
All Other Refined Magic Essences: Requires 250 magic essence and 250 of that specific type of essence to make.
They are used in recipes for spells and to repair 50 / 100 uses of a spell of the correlating element.
Magic Paper: Used in magic tomes; found anywhere you can find schematics.
Unstable Magic: Can be scrapped or smelted into dark essence; fires random spells, degrades randomly and has a chance to backfire!
Magic Tomes: To learn a spell, you must craft and read the spell's corresponding tome.
Types of Magic & Spells: Must have learned the spell and all previous spells of that type to craft and cast it.
Example: If you want to make Fire Bolt, the 3rd fire spell, you must have also learned Fire Ball, the 2nd fire spell and Ember, the 1st fire spell.

Fire Ball: 66 base damage / second for 3 seconds.
Fire Bolt: 93 base damage / second for 3 seconds.
Hellfire: 120 base damage / second for 3 seconds.

ICE
Snow: 14 base damage / second for 7 seconds; slows.
Flurry: 25 base damage / second for 7 seconds; slows.
Ice: 37 base damage / second for 7 seconds; slows.

Blizzard: 37 base damage / second for 7 seconds; slows; AOE.

Bomb: 150 base damage / second for 1 second; 50% knockdown chance; AOE.
Explosion: 300 base damage / second for 1 second; 50% knockdown chance; AOE.
MISCHIEF
Dance: Makes zombies dance.
Big Head: Expands zombie and animals heads; pops on the 3rd hit of this spell.
LIGHT MAGIC
HEALING
Cure: 5 base healing / second for 5 seconds; use secondary action to use on self.
Cura: 7 base healing / second for 5 seconds; use secondary action to use on self.
Curaga: 10 base healing / second for 5 seconds; use secondary action to use on self.
Esuna: Cures abnormal status (infection, broken limbs, concussion, etc.,).
Grace: 10 base healing / second for 3 seconds; AOE; use secondary action to use on self.
BOOST
Stamina: Reduces stamina consumption by 50% for 30 seconds.
Jump: Increases jump height by 50% for 30 seconds.
Speed: Increases movement speed by 25% for 30 seconds.
Magic Boost: Adds 10% to the base damage of the specified magic type:
- Elemental Magic
- Dark Magic
- Light Magic
METALS:
Tip: the percent will equal well over 100% (especially with the vanilla metals in there too). The trick is high percent and top of the list.
FOREST:

RADIATION RESISTANCE:
AntiRad Pills: Can be unlocked at level 75; requires level 50 to use.

Immunity: Can be unlocked at level 175; grants immunity to radiation.

A key that has a low chance of unlocking one of Duke's Casino Chests in the Casino in the lobby.
How does it work?
- Hold your interact key (Default E) and choose the "Pick Lock" option to begin.
- Your key will either unlock the chest or break
Note: It may take multiple tries to unlock a chest, so it's recommended to save up a few keys first!
- If your key unlocks the chest, open it up to claim your prize.
- After closing the chest, it will break and reappear over time for you to unlock again.
